Hi,
on my XBMCbuntu the suspend does not work. The XMBC logs end up like this: http://pastebin.com/SpjNzrmH ... the screen turns black for half a second and then comes back with xbmc.
What can be wrong here?

Edit: I see that the led in my ir receiver blinks on time when the system tries to suspend (I'm not pressing any key at this moment). And then XBMC comes up.

Thanks 4 help,
key2k
Thanks for a full debug log (in advance) :p
Can you suspend the machine when the IR receiver is not connected? When you connect a keyboard instead?

I had this issue with a LED lightbulb, emitting into my IR receiver causing a wakeup.

Please, post a full debug log, not a partial normal log.
Sorry, here is the full debug-log: http://pastebin.com/tYLRWMWS

I even cant suspend, when I have the ir receiver disconnected.

Edit: The blinking comes not every time, so I don't think that's the cause.

Edit 2: Here some more files which may help:
- cat cmdline: http://pastebin.com/csjTEv7Y
- pm-suspend.log: http://pastebin.com/Jdmt2K0n
- syslog | grep PM: http://pastebin.com/ZLkbg8Bx

After I uninstalled LIRC and started using the hama-mce-event-client everything works fine.
I am using the HAMA MCE remote and when I try to hibernate it says "Closing HAMA remote" then immediately says "detecting new connection HAMA MCE Remote" and doesn't suspend or hibernate. I could do this before I uninstalled Lirc, although the info button and some other things didn't work with lirc properly. Is there something that I'm missing here? Everything else I can find says that after they installed the HAMA MCE client, this worked for them. I do have the setting in my BIOS to allow for wake from s3/s4 on USB enabled. Enclosed is a debug log of me trying to first hibernate, then suspend.

Here is a debug log, from which I omitted a few hundred lines dealing with mythtv only as it eats up a lot of lines and with them it wouldn't fit on pastebin
