I'm looking to make an RSS feed with several YouTube channels feeding into it. Currently the type 10 channel only does 1 user, playlist or channel at a time. Let me ask you this, do you know how an RSS feed would need to be formatted for PTVL work with YouTube links? I can only seem to get it to work if the feed has direct links to a video file.

Best option might be to interleave them then. Create 10 separate channels. 1 as a base channel and interleave the other 9 into it. Then add the rule "Don't Play This Channel' to the other 9.

Is it possible to set rules with the YoutubeTV channel type. I am unable to select the Rules button with YoutubeTV
First post and XBMC newbie and pseudoTV newbie. I've downloaded the PTVL-Master zip from this thread and placed it in the addons folder after expanding it. I still get "script failed: pseudotv.py"

I've found one thread (from last March) which says PTVL doesn't work well with Trakt and that Trakt should be disabled. But I've never installed Trakt and cannot find that string in the PTVL Program Files (x86) directory or find any options for it in PTVL setups or SBMC setups.

any help please?

Sorry log is here:

And updated Channel Lineup xml:

You need to enable debugging in PTVL, then send me a log after running.
Thanks

I do not see a difference with ptvl debugging enabled:

This is my current settings.xml:

I use dynamic artwork for live tv.At the epg window i can see artwork "landscape"for the half of the xmltv shows, because PLTV couldn't find,at fanart tv, the appropriate artwork for the rest shows.I wonder if there is a way I can manually add artwork for the missing shows...

No, Chances are either the show was never found in the TVDB Database, or no landscape image was found...
I'm going to change images in my "PTVL WIP" skin to fanart since it seems more fanart is available then landscape images.

You could trick PseudoTV Live into using an image for LiveTV, but this will only work if a TVDB Id for the show was found....
Take a look in addon_data\script.pseudotv.live\cache\artwork you can see the formatting the image needs to be in (ie. tvdbid-type.ext).

You are confusing trakt with follw.it.
I don't believe anywhere it's been mentioned trakt doesn't work with PTVL...

Don't matter anyway the interference from a plugin wouldn't cause a script error.
Send me a log...

Post1
Code:
In app channel configuration doesn't fully support new channel types. For now I suggested manual configuration using examples found above.

Rules work but you need to manual configure, read forum for help. This question has been asked and answered already Smile

Yes!! Read Milkman's Guide to learn "almost" everything you want to know about PseudoTV / Live (which is why it's linked in post 1).
Thanks I've just finished reading it entirely.
It does cover it quite well I must say.
Still it seems I cannot do what I'd like to do.
I'll try and explain my problem see if it's fixable with this version of pseudo TV

Basically I have many old shows that have separate intro's and endings (lots of old shows).
To save space they have been ripped separately (at the time this was deemed a great idea, but now I regret it)

So what I'd like PseudoTV to do is before each episode of SHOWXX go grab it's intro, play it, play the episode, grab the ending and play that.
Then play advert, bumper etc...

Now I read about interleaving channels but not too sure that'd work.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be VERY grateful.

I'd have to tell PTV or XBMC that each single episode of SHOWXX is composed as follows:
[INTRO][EPISODE][ENDING]

Apologies if I am being thick here.

You can do almost anything with PseudoTV, but what you want will require a lot of work on your end...
If your asking is there an automated way of doing this...the answer is no.

But there are ways to manipulate PseudoTV to do what you want...
using playlists, directory and interleaving channels... would be your easiest bet, but this doesn't promise the correct pre and post show will match with the tvshow.
Ideally I would use a playlist generator to add each file individually...
but not sure that's something that can be done in the first place (don't suppose you can add only one episode of something to xbmc as it is) let alone finding an editor to do so.
Though I might be able to create it quite quickly with editors such as sublime.

Each show would then have it's playlist, but where I go from there I don't know.

I would first scrape all the intros and outros to xbmc's library inorder to better control and manipulate the data.
You will need to generate nfos for all the data.

use this:

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...aCompanion

you should name your media like this:

if your tvshows name is "star trek" and the episode is 01x01
the matching intro and outro nfo should be
star trek - intro - 01x01
star trek - outro - 01x01
now you have a matching set...

scrape all data to xbmc using filename scraper, how to, http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=160904
now create four playlists in xbmc

1. star trek
2. star trek intro
3. star trek outro
4. playlists loads playlists 1-3

This should get you started... you will have to experiment from there...
but once playlist 4 is showing the queue you want, load it in PTVL.
What would the next step be?
I already use EMBER

aha I get it!
I would interleave with each of the other playlists that only have one video (intro and outro respectively) so it would always show intro + episode + outro.
Quite creative!

Don't I need content to be added to the library to use playlists? If so how do I avoid them all showing up?
Also a bit unsure about nested playlists and about adding one video to one playlist. but I'll take it from here.

Apllied this https://github.com/Lunatixz/script.pseud...723ed9903a to my channellist.py and it works perfectly thank you very much !
If I created html's for PseudoTV Live that would show EPG info... would...

A) User use it?
B) Would user know how to webserver or access the HTML without me providing a webserver?
C) What kinda of information about PseudoTV would you want displayed or accessible (Controllable from a mobile page).

I'm thinking two types of HTML's

1) Channel schedule (images, titles and times of all shows coming up on the channel currently being played)
2) Full EPG or just a break down of whats playing now...

Feedback would be appreciated.
A)Definitely would use it(using yatse to navigate/control xbmc anyways)

B)not sure about this, is there another way to access the info without connecting to a webserver. Would it be an IP address:port?

C) Navigation/Schedule Recordings/Set reminder
