I already wrote you instructions, read posts above...

ah sorry i did not see your latest edit to that post. As said before tho iv tried the favourites.xml route and it didn't work for any plugin i tried. U mention it needs to be edited? What specifically..? All the edits i attempted still didn't work. I attempted the json route as suggested but that seems way above me. I have no idea what Ajax end points are or how to find out what mine is ect.
place a uneditted discovery plugin link into a setting2.xml chtype 9 setup, force reset ptvl, run it and send me the m3u generated for that channel. m3u is found in userdata/script.pseudotv.live/cache/channelnumber.m3u

You need to find a valid link... If it doesn't play in xbmc its not going to play in pseudo.

So the only way to get the true link is via the json addon linked? Alright well thanks a lot for your assistance, sorry to be a pain.

Usually the favorite link works... Depends on the addon I guess.
PTVL is freezing /hanging while streaming USTVnow channels that are autotuned. I am on Gotham and running 3.7 on a Mac Pro (OSX 10.7). I originally thought it was a guide issue (running concast). I switched to default, and without fail, I freeze after changing channels or scrolling through the guide. I have a log here that may help. I am sure it is most likely user error, but I can not figure out what I did wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
Trying to create a settings2.xml for Pseduo-TV Live (PSTVL) on Verizon Fios proved to be quite challenging. Many channels that need to be reviewed, which makes things pretty cumbersome. So we took the time to create a script for it. I am not a python programmer, nor a programmer at all for the matter. I am sure that this can be improved by a skilled individual in a number of methods.

howto - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5885...mltvpy.pdf
script file - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5885...v/xmltv.py

if you have question, PM me. Please DO NOT post here to keep the thread relevant to its subject matter.

Hopes it helps someone out.

Thanks for the contribution, I will review it and add it to the OP

From your experience is there anyway I could improve upon the hdhomerun auto tuning feature?
Auto tuning currently pairs a strm with it's xmltv data via strm file name. Does this not work for you?

Your log has way to much stuff going on... can you start a clean xbmc instance, and load ptvl till your problem. then send that log?
thanks
Hey guys,

I just found this add-in today and am very interested in it. Sorry I am at work and cant dedicate the hours required to read through the entire forum.....

I have a couple quick questions.
1. Does this add-in work on Adroid builds of XBMC?
and 2. Is there a list of supported USB OTD DTV Tuners (that work with Android)?

Thanks
Bill

the tuner would need to be connected to a PC that could serve the tuner streams to ptvl. Read first 3 posts.

OK Sorry I didnt catch that the first time I read it.... In the Sources you list that it can be set up for a homerunhd... does that require a PC backend also, or can PsudoTV Live point at the homerun directly?

Yes, hdhomerun doesn't require a backend it hooks directly to your home network and it works in xbmc android.
