I'm working on trying curb this behavior in my household, but often to resolve an issue such as no audio in XBMC, which isn't noticed until after PTVL is started, the troubleshooting technique employed is power cycling the PC so it does a clean boot. Unfortunately, interrupting PTVL like that more times than not will cause it to wipe the settings2 file.

While I've got plenty of my own backups, and scripts to swap a good one back in quickly (more times than not, the .bak is wiped as well), are there improvements in the works to prevent the program from losing the channels when a crash occurs?
if you experience errors with v.0.5.8 try either resetting PTVL's settings to default, or change Misc/Playback timer to a different value.
Channel configuration does not show plug in option

I even tried manually removing the cache folder and restarting XBMC but that didn't help.

(2015-02-02, 02:42)xeryax Wrote: [ -> ]Im having problems with channels made with playlists. Three of my channels (50, 51, and 53) are made from playlists, and none of them populate anymore. When I force reset of channels, and set background loading to off, the channel loading script seems to skip them.

I have verified that the playlists actually work, I have cleared cache, and even reverted back to earlier versions of PseudoTV, that I knew used to work... anyone have any ideas?

The most relevant log entry I can see is:
ChannelList: Unable to get information about channel 50

You are running an outdated version of PseudoTV Live, Please update Smile

OK, so I have updated to 0.58, same problem... xbmc.log is here:
I still have background loading off so I can verify PTV was done loading channels before I checked.

At the end, you will see me close PseudoTV Live, then re-open it.

The broken channels are 50, 51, and 53 which are all based on playlists that I have verified actually populate content outside of PTV.

Ideas?

u need to enable debugging in kodi, read post1 then resend log
My bad. Sorry I missed that post. That fixed the error, but I am currently sitting at 35 minutes for it to build the channels.

Channel building finished at ~37 minutes. EPG is slow. Lags about 5 seconds navigating between channels. Will a log be useful for that?

I've got it... my sources.xml file is jacked... Thanks for making me do all the things that I needed to do to see the problem.
hi luna

i'm finding that i can't save any changes to a directory channel. they are all at the default 25 files and sorting at default. i make a change (for arguments sake lets say 50 files and random sorting), backspace to exit, then get out of channel configuration, go back in to confirm it all worked and find it back to 25 files and default. any ideas?
