Hey everybody. I have been using Pseudo TV Live for a while now and I love it. For some reason, since I updated to the latest version, every time a video plays, it shows up behind all of the Kodi addon icons. It's really strange. I can hear the video and see it but there are all of the icons from my Kodi Program folder in front of it. When I switch to the program guide, everything is fine, but once I switch back to the video, it happens again. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to fix it? Thank you in advance for your help.

This issue was fixed already, has to do with donor internettv autotune... fix in next update, but you will either have to remove the old settings, or re autotune after update.

That's great to know, I'll be eagerly awaiting the next release later tonight in hopes of finding all my issues fixed. I don't mind re autotuning at this point because that's pretty much what I do right now. Eventually I hope to start figuring out how to build my own channels but that's still a ways down the road for me.

Thanks.

I don't know what kinda keymaps you have or what custom changes you've made to kodi... but by kodi's default it has no choice but to start over... look at the code for yourself... the action on start over is "action(SkipPrevious)" not skip some random time in the past... your issue may be unique to your setup. Smile

I get what you're saying but I don't know what to tell you. I have no custom keymap.xml file. I am no coder so I have not made any changes to Kodi. Just some minor skin tweaks is all I'm capable of and I even switched back to Confluence (which I haven't modded at all) and it still does the same. About 40% of the time it skips back to the beginning the rest of the time it skips back a random amount. I mean all it is is hitting the select button, right? The select button works as expected everywhere else including all other areas of PTVL.

EDIT: I just tried it on my other Openelec machine and it acts the same way.

I wish I could help... maybe you should look into what happens when your try and use SkipPrevious outside of ptvl, does it do the same thing?

I tried this on my desktop computer with a keyboard mapping SkipPrevious to F1 and I get the same results; videos with chapters only skip to the previous chapter. I noticed this in Kodi's wiki:

Quote:SkipPrevious - Skip to previous video in playlist. If no playlist, then skip to previous chapter in video.

Now I know PTVL is essentially nothing but playlists, but this must have something to do with it. Maybe Kodi doesn't realize it's playing a playlist when PTVL is running?
does anyone knows i can a simulate the new "EPG Menus (EPG/DVR/OnDemand/Apps)" without a remote? what functions should i keymap to my keyboard ?
same goes for the "start over" which key on the keyboard will simulate this?

thanks
Does anyone have a link to 0.6.2b because 0.6.2c is not working for me right. I want to go back to 0.6.2b it worked perfectly the artwork worked and the guide was fast it was the best this app has worked for me since prior to 0.5.0. With the 0.6.2c version I have no artwork in the info screen or guide only channel logos in the guide and those are causing the guide to stutter, if I try to flip through to fast the whole guide locks up for a few seconds. I stopped using the full version because it was unusable I've been using the lite version since its release but I missed some of the features of the full version.

Never mind I found a copy

How about provide a log for the latest version so Lunatixz can fix your issue if he can determine the cause.

I can certainly answer some, but not all.
PTVL settings will tell you that DVR is coming soon, so not yet implemented. Also if you press key 'C' on a programme item in your EPG view, you will get a sub menu appear with the following items:-
1) More Info
2) Find Similar
3) Record Similar
4) Set Reminder

Items 2,3 and 4 all say coming soon, so not yet implemented. Item 1 (More info) will give you more information about that particular title, (actors, crew, trailers, artwork and more). These details are powered by the extended info script, which Luna has indicated on his PTVL twitter feed will also be used to power future on demand titles.
I could maybe make an educated guess on what the apps item might include, but that's all it would be, as I don't know myself.....Sorry. And as far I know, this item is not functional as yet.
I am making the presumption that the EPG item, is the default view you get when opening PTVL, but maybe I'm wrong in that thinking and perhaps Luna has future idea's and plans to add to this item.
So in answer to your original question, DVR / On Demand / Apps are not currently functional items, so unlikely they will yet have any keyboard controls in place.
'Start Over' function can be achieved on your keyboard by pressing the enter/return key.

Log won't help this user... No changes between those version would explain his problems.... Instant ignore Wink

I won't post a log for privacy reasons but thanks for the suggestion and I'm running 0.6.2b again with updates disabled

Doesn't most remote apps feature media buttons? (Red,blue, green, yellow)? Does PTVL ignore those commands from apps?
Unfortunately keyboard won't have commands to open menus.

Official Kodi Android remote doesn't have coloured media buttons, which I've tried and neither does the Yatse remote which is one of most popular and currently using. However, both support short-cuts to movies, Tv shows, Music, pictures....
If no coloured media buttons actually exist, I take it there is no alternative to access these options?

You can use the keymap plugin, and remap a button on your keyboard? maybe a function button?
