They need to see stuff on-screen.
Been using ptvl since the first release and wow it's come a long way Luna's amazing. I too am hoping this software ends up being more non-tech people friendly in it's stable release but this is still the testing phase. When I leave say a girlfriend in front of it I still fear something will go wrong. I couldn't imagine letting somebody over 50 use this as their main source of TV but then again I guess it depends what kind of channels you have but for me no way. If I go to work for 10 hours I'd be worried about it cutting off and them not knowing how to get it back on. That being said this project is amazing hope it reaches it's full potential so I can throw my STB in the trash!
Pretty much the same for me. All of my channels are from USTVnow and my library, but channels hang sometimes. USTV tends to just stop playing. When I'm in the USTVnow addon, it'll just kick me out to the channel list. If a USTVnow channel freezes while in PTVL, the entire system locks up on Android and Windows. Not much of a task for me to force close or open the task manager and close Kodi from there, but for my family, it's too much of a hassle if it's constantly happening.

I suggest doing a full reset including uninstall and deleting your userdata folder while backing up your settings2.xml of course. Reinstall, do an autotune(not sure if thats necessary) then swap in your old settings2.xml. Worked for me.
I just had to do this, since I hadn't updated in ages. I deleted the cache and settings.xml instead though. It's now working. I'm guessing it's settings.xml.
Anyway, thanks for this. I probably would have given up

Sweet, good to know. I'd gone back to 0.6.6 instead of spending any more time on it.
How much do I have to donate to get the donor features?

Yes for me too. Also the plugin channels that use "sega" creates issues of continous skip and trying to play.Probably should be reported as a bug. This channels all have worked in 0.6.8c
EDIT: Did not noticed that also "sega" was updated..probably issue is more related to the new sega version than PTVL
Very clever, using "sega" to refer to banned addons. Look for these posts to get binned.

Has anyone notice extremely slow channel population of version 0.6.9? I started the channel update last night around 9 pm, which I will say I have several 100 channels, and 12 hours later I still have about 100 more channels to go before it is complete. This usually would take about 30 minutes max, not 12 hours before this version. I am running Openelec 5.0.8 with Kodi 14.2 on my media center.
Edit: I did reset the defaults like Luna suggested in his tweet

I too have had the same issue, but havent had time to do a full troubleshoot/log. I will be doing a full wipe of the addon, and anything left of PTVL in the userdata will be deleted. Then try a reinstall. Someone a few posts back said they did that to clear up issues they had
If that still doesnt clear it up, ill post my log in the bug section
Cheers!

Glad it worked for everybody. This should probably be the normal protocol when an update breaks one of our channels types before we post an issue. While we're on youtube channels does anybody else notice the epg doesn't match up with the info screen/skip to next track functions? Only on youtube channels plugin channels match up perfectly. I feel like this has to have been talked about before.

I tweeted Luna a link with a log file of the slow channel building so hopefully he can get it resolved. I am experiencing the same issue on two Kodi HTPCs, so it seems to be an addon issue.
Slow channel building in 0.6.9 as well, and Exiting Saving Settings appears to hang between 3 and 9%.
YouTube channels still not working.
Channel configuration is also very slow.
I'll try to get a log posted tomorrow.
Running Kodi 15.1 on a Mac Mini with Mavericks, 16 GB of RAM.
Curious. I use local media and my hdhomerun. What are you all doing differently that is causing these slow builds?

I was able to fix mine doing what I suggested/read in an earlier post. I uninstalled the addon and USATVnow addon. I then went to my userdata/addon_data directory, backed up my settings2.xml from the script.pseudotv.live directory and then deleted the script.pseudotv.live directory. Then I reinstalled the addon, configured it. Did one run as autotune, stopped it, put my settings2.xml back and it was working again!
Cheers!

I am using mostly local media, but I do have the amount of videos per channel set to 5000 instead of 50, but that was never a problem before this version. I sent Luna debug logs yesterday, but it took nearly 5 hours to setup up 26 channels which never took this long. Also this is happening on two Kodi media centers in my house, so it seems to be an addon issue.

I recreated the script.pseudotv.live directory (renamed the old one with a bak at the end) and I didn't notice any difference. I will try what you did to see if I fixes my issues.
