Hmm..that's strange, then I'm adding a new source only an update library action is done, so all of those is listed as new
Maybe it's a setting for this somewhere but I can't find it

(2015-12-13, 12:52)Tiny Clanger Wrote: [ -> ]I've just added a new movie source as the old HD was full, and Ember has rescraped every source — including the rather large and slow to scrape TV Shows.

I tried to quit Ember and it said "cancelling processes"* and just carried on scraping the TV Shows source. Presumably I would have had to wait for it to finish the scrape before it quit, so I nuked Ember from Task Manager and relaunched.

Is there a way to add a source and have Ember just rescrape that source alone? It's extremely annoying to add a source that has three movies in it and have to wait for everything else to rescrape!

* Actually, it said "canceling" despite my system being set to English (United Kingdom) — is there an en_GB translation? Smile

There is many ways to do that:
Filter them by source (the asking option)
Mark them
Or if they already is selected as "new"
For the above there is actions in "Scrape all.." menu

And if it's only three, scrape from the lists context menu

That's not what I meant, though. When you go to Settings, add a new source, then exit Settings, EMM will scrape all sources, not just the one you added. That doesn't make sense, and wastes an awful lot of time!
I know what you mean. We have changed many triggers after confirming settings in next release. I will try to add an additional trigger for new sources that will only scan the new ones.

Hi Dan, can you please elaborate on this
Is it a setting or just under certain circumstances that's triggers it?
Under all my testing of various versions of Ember I never seen a scraper get activated when adding a source

Although he has written "scraping", but thought "database update" Wink
Automatically scraping after confirmed settings it's not possible, we don't have any function for that in "after settings" code.

OK that's clear, thx

But just reading the sources from the disc isn't that time consuming even if you have a large collection
hi,

something that is been bugging me for a while now..... both ember releases 1.3 and 1.4 have the same issue

i have about 1026 shows (237 active) | 47585 / 50543 episodes downloaded according to sickbeard
but ember only finds 44 shows and 322 eps...

everything is sorted on disks like

TV shows - CSI - CSI season 1 - CSI.S01E01 - CSI.S01E01.title.mkv

and he found like 322 eps why doesn't he find them all ?

You have saved the episodes in episode folders. This will work in the forthcoming beta release.

As far as TV shows, just hit the UPDATE LIBRARY button at the top and select TV Shows. Ember will auto add anything that wasn't previously there. All new episodes will add content automatically (covers, nfo, etc). All new SHOWS will have to be manually scraped once. How many new ones could you have that it wouldn't take a few minutes? Just scrape once, and all new episodes and seasons will pop right in.

When I add new episodes to a series I have already scraped, I typically click the "Update Library" button and the new episodes pop up in the relevant show. Usually the episodes show up unnamed, so I have to go in and re-scrape each episode individually. Right now I'm having an issue where when I try to re-scrape an individual episode, the TV Search results screen pops up but the green progress bar just keeps roaming and the show is never identified. If I delete the entire show from the Ember database and re-scrape it works fine, but I don't really want to have to do that every time I add new episodes to a pre-existing show. Any thoughts on what's going here? Thanks.

Hey Dan,

I got a problem with series, everything is scraped correctly but only the first episode is renamed the right way. Im not sure what went wrong but thats the result: http://puu.sh/m1jSu/eab8e4fd4a.txt
I tried to fix it, by just using the episode name, but it ended up in a pure mess, I had to delete the whole thing. Any ideas?

I was using the original "$Z - $W2_S?2E?{ - $T}" renaming pattern, and just added few things: " [$R]$S.$H.$J" so I got: "$Z - $W2_S?2E?{ - $T} [$R]$S.$H.$J"

The strange thing is, for the first episode it worked perfectly in each season folder. then it started to mess up things by repeating parts of the episode name and added a 720 behind any episode number which i dont really have an argument for.

PS: is there a possible way to add two things to the renaming pattern, like the status and the quality, so the main-folder would be like: "Battlestar Galactica [720p]-[ended]"
