Where can i find some kind of changelog for the xbmc in this thread?
Edit: Found it...
Test Images with Alex patches:

v7: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5572..._amd64.deb https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5572..._amd64.deb
v6:
v5:
v4:
v3: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5572..._amd64.deb https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5572..._amd64.deb
v2: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5572..._amd64.deb https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5572..._amd64.deb
v1: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5572..._amd64.deb https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5572..._amd64.deb

v1 should work in any case. Triple check with uname -a that you are running the right kernel. Best remove the older image prior to testing.

Edit: Alex has just posted another patch as V1 did not work good enough. Will build that one, now.

Fritsch,

I'm noticing in your v7 linux-image link it says v1, not v7. Unsure if that's a typo, or wrong link.
Fixed.
fritsch: you might check the link to the v7 linux-image, dropbox gives an error 404.
Yeah, it's not needed anymore, anyways. V1 did not work good enough, therefore Alex made a second attempt. Btw. you can fix v7 link easily by analyzing v1 link :-)
@beschmid, if you can, help us out on the freedesktop page -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60389

things are starting to move faster than ever! Smile

@frtsch -- just wanna say thank again to you, and @wspinex for showing me how easy it is to compile a kernel.
Here are builds with the latest patch, Alex did:

Code:
wget https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55728161/linux-image-3.13.0-rc3-drm-fixes14-v999-na%2B_0.1_amd64.deb https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55728161/linux-headers-3.13.0-rc3-drm-fixes14-v999-na%2B_0.1_amd64.deb

sudo dpkg -i *deb
thx Fritsch for helping me out with this hes been compiling different fixes all night long for me!

the latest one see post above works fine for me on AMD A6-6400k NO artifacts!!!!!!

I vote Fritsch for President....Wink
This version seems to have fixed my artifact and flickering issues. Awesome. thank you fritsch, alex, wsnipex, and locomot1f. My wife will be very happy.

Okay :-)

Now, that we have solved that issue, I will update the first post. From a technical point of view, we are done now. xbmc on AMD will be working fine after 3.13 ist released and those patches are in. Xbmc will be ready with gotham. Mesa is ready as of 10.1. Yeah, was a nice partnership. Thanks all for boosting xbmc, mesa and amd hardware on linux.

Have to quote myself from 2011:
(2011-11-15, 00:51)MTroi Wrote: [ -> ]Although I would love to have an out of the box working xbmc with fusion support under a ubuntu release at the end of 2011, it was still fun to go through all the steps and try something out. Especially the helpful community behind ubuntu/xbmc makes it less frustrating to fail. I can't really remember a windows thread with a vivid and helpful discussion like this one and I doubt that this is due to always working out-of-the-box stuff in a windows environment. Big Grin

At least it seems to be working at the end of April in 2014 and the last part of the quote is still true :-)

Just want to clarify that this version is running smoothly. No choppy image, like I experienced in version 3.13r2-v0.3. I'm still not sure why I experienced this, I havent been able to spend the time debugging the issue. But I guess that's irrelevant now.

Bottom line: Fine kernel!
Code:
wget https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55728161/linux-image-3.13.0-rc3-drm-fixes14-v999-na%2B_0.1_amd64.deb https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55728161/linux-headers-3.13.0-rc3-drm-fixes14-v999-na%2B_0.1_amd64.deb

sudo dpkg -i *deb

Doesn't work as supposed on my setup a little gliching in both video and output sound when playing... Video problems didn't occur before.
How should i revert in the best way? I have the older kernel...
Did you purge the previous 3.13 kernel?
