This is great! I've had this Hauppauge Win-TV card for years but haven't even had in my computer for a long time because I didn't think it served any purpose (the original reason: to watch TV- is no longer needed). Until I saw something somewhere about the remote & various things that could be done with it. So I plugged in the card and hooked up the remote and VOILA- like magic: ALL kinds of cool, new possibilities available!

I LOVE IT!


So, I'm wondering: is it possible to use my remote for other functions that you have not listed? Possibly by changing the xml file directly?


My remote has a "Mute" button; and I would like to use it for that purpose, just for XBMC. But I do not see that command on the list...

I open keymap.exe at windows start and if I close kodi I keep keymap.exe open. Why do you want to close keymap.exe?

You may try to edit the keymap.xml
<p>Play</p> to <p>playpause</p>

Can anybody confirm, that this no longer works with Kodi 17?
