I truly hope this is true!

Dune + xbmc is the best there could be.
Fingers crossed.

However lots of questions..
Able to start right away into xbmc.

Will , if run in xbmc, you be able to play 3d iso mvc?
Able to download apps inside xbmc...

250 for this player is not that much, if answers are positive to all these questions, i buy it right away !

The cheaper models also claim the same thing.

Yea but none of them so far, actually do.

And since zappiti is doing dunes players from the beginning, i'm having faith , it will actually do all the things they promise.

My thoughts exactly. But, demos I've seen of other 1195 players make the performance look sluggish.

There is an autolaunch app in the playstore to make an app autolaunch on android start. The price they are offering is way to much. Also from your post zappitii does not = dune. As far as I know DUNE has no hand in this player. All realtek chips are always turnkey so whatever the zappitti player does with the exception of zappitti ui the 49.99$ no name android box will have the same performance. And just looking at the 1195 players out right now and there firmware revision names its still based on a common sdk/OS straight from realtek so performance will be 1=1 across any of the players.

Its says it does 24p, but i guess your asking for true 23,976 playback

at that price point nope.

A bit of misunderstanding back in the day. Sigma based players like the dune prime the pch 100/200 series. Were not turnkey devices. both PCH and dune had developers that could modify the sigma sdk and libs and add and fix what needed fixed they were built from the ground up. Its what made them some of the best players back in the day and also gave them there high price tag. Realtek players were always cheaper because there was no internal dev on the sdk/libs it all came from realtek only thing people could change was the UI and how certain things where handled. Its why all realtek players always had the same bugs no matter who put the player out. With all the announcements out of sigma and the way we have seen the dune base 3d and pch a400 seems they have now went turnkey as well. So its not how it used to be back in the glory days.

Any time you have a chipset company offering turnkey solutions core performance will not differ from cheap to expansive devices as they all get the same base sdk/os. Only thing you can hope for is if they put in enough money to get the chipset manufacturer to fix issues before moving on to a new chipset.
