The next solution to my problem, I want to share you. Because it made me crazy a few days.
I bought a androidbox and putting the last daily build of kodi / helix on it. Everything works fine execept the addons.
Some addons took forever to start, Some 30 seconds or less than 2 minutes.
Previously, i was runnin it on Linux for years, and have installed the same addons so i did not expect any problems in one of the addons.
Until I read an interesting post that in version 12.1 was a problem with watchdog and network polling.
I disabled watchdog, en the addon problem was gone, everyting running very fast now..... pretty frustated.. i like the addon.
So i experimented a little bit with watchdog.
standard is the network polling 4 sec..i upscaled it to 60 sec.
I use this setting 2 days now, and I have no problems anymore.
Since I have not seen any mention of helix and only one solution to disable come across.
Maybe there are other so here is my solution.
