Full Version: .actors directory

As per the XBMC standard naming convention, EMM creates an .actors sub-directory in each movie directory (i.e. containing cast jpgs). This is all well and good, but under the Windows OS any folder starting with a dot (".") is treated as a hidden directory. This naming convention makes manual file maintenance rather difficult without enabling/disabling "Show Hidden Files/Directories" before/after performing each maintenance event.

Two questions:

(1) Will an XBMC player automatically scrape the actors directory if it were renamed something more OS/user friendly (e.g. <movie>/<movie>-actors)?
(2) Can EMM be configured to save actor jpgs in a directory named other than <movie>/.actors?

Thanks!
(1) no
(2) no

But you can disable actor thumbs downloading in Ember. XBMC do use the informations/links from nfo and loads the same images directly to the XBMC cache.
