It looks like there is no development anny more for this plug-in.
I would have expected that EPG importing would be faster with KODI - do you have any debug logs?

I'm using the the latest OpenELEC and the initial EPG import for 130 seconds is < 2 seconds.
I have same issue with openwebif, however if i remove and install the old webif all works fine. seems there is something with openwebif which make the enigma box work much much hared to provide epg data..
Can you elaborate a littlebit further what you mean with old & new webif?

I'm still using a very old VTI image (End of support in July 2014 - guess I need to update it at some time...Smile)

Joerg

new webif means openwebif https://github.com/E2OpenPlugins/e2openplugin-OpenWebif
old webif means the original dm webif http://wiki.openpli.org/e2Webif
In vu+ enigma client 1.9.11 no problem. very good running but newer versions problem.

mate how do you install the old one??
i also have really slow epg, if i even try to open the PVR menu Kodi will freeze if the EPG i still loading. This issue started when upgraded to 15.x. I have not changed anything in my dreambox so the issues is in kodi for me i would guess. i haven't clocked it but i would guess somewhere around 4-5 minutes to load epg on boot up.
A handy tip but its a techy one, if your handy with webservers configure one with a (proxy)cache, once cached epg loads under 2 seconds (500 channels 40mb data) gb local lan and 5 seconds via 4g, or get TwistedWeb to act as a cache onboard-inthebox. Or get enigma2 imagebuilders to make this as a plugin.
Also experiencing this issue on Kodi 16 alpha 4. I am unable to add a proxy cache to enigma2's web server, so the plugin is unusable in this state, as it causes a continuous CPU load on the enigma2 box of 90%+.
Yes i have made some tests, I thought it was my image that was the cause I my case but now I have tried 4 different images for my DM800HD clone box and its the same independent of image. Will see if I can find the old webif and test.
As it is now my epg import takes someware around 35 minutes...I can't restart kodi anymore or put the computer to sleep mode...damn!!
