I was reluctant to post this because it looks similar to other posts, but it seems to me my problem was slightly different than those I've seen out there. I have a model b and recently upgraded to Kodi, and it worked great for a day or so, but now my wifi stopped working, hardwired is fine though. settings are all correct. The log file is http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=399641
any help would be awesome. Thank you
I think this is more likely to be an underlying OS problem than kodi - might be better in raspbmc forum if that is what you're using, but others are posting this sort of problem also.
It's possible that something in dmesg (run from command, remotely) might point to a problem.
I couldn't see anything appropriate in you posted log.
What sort of wifi device are you using (do you know chipset ...)?
Did it happen on the reboot after an update, or just on booting after the (major) upgrade?
The adapter is the one available on the pi hut's websitehttp://thepihut.com/collections/raspberry-pi-accessories/products/raspberry-pi-wipi-wireless-adapter
I'm not sure of the chipset
It happened after I upgraded to kodi from xbmc 12-ish?
But you may be right, it could be a issue more appropriate for the raspberry pi guys. Thanks
Just in case anybody reads this thread, there has been an update issued for raspbmc to fix some issues, including some with wifi and its persistence over reboots
