Hy Guys.

I have a problem with Live TV (DVBS) in Kodi. I have a Intel NUC i5 4th generation with kodibuntu. I tried vdr and tvheadend as backend with the same result. i can watch SD-TV mostly with no problems, but when i switch to HD-TV i have shutters all the time. I have used a pinnacle pctv 461e USB as tuner.
i have tried it on my little cubox-i 4pro with the same problems.
with or without deinterlacing makes not much difference. sometimes it works 10 min fine, sometimes only 10 sec. i have artefacts in the screen.
Then i tryed my dreambox 8000 as backend, same problem on nuc and cubox.then i try open elec -> same problem.
If i install windows 7, xbmc and nextpvr on my nuc all things work smooth....

So have anyone a hint how i can make this run on linux, because i dont want windows on my htpc Smile

Thanks for every hint!

Firmware

The demodulator requires a firmware file that must be uploaded by the driver: dvb-demod-m88ds3103.fw

The file is part of OpenELEC dvb-firmware package: https://github.com/OpenELEC/dvb-firmware...w?raw=true

Target directory: /lib/firmware
Ähm... yes, i know how it works, and have tried it wiht other kernels... but it wont work fine. I can watch SD Channels mostly ok. but if i go to OSD eg. info, than i have many framedrops. With HD channels i have more problems because there i have many artefacts and framedrops.
The same Problem i have with the dreambox/VU+ plugin.

I can setup my nuc with windows then all works fine... but i wont windows on my htpc... Sad
