I have installed Kodi 14.1 on my IPAD3, and tried to access the Synology NAS. It works with uPnP setup, but get Operation not permitted when I tried the SMB option. Please advise me what could be the problem.

Try using an IP address instead of the "NetBIOS name".

Tried using IP, but still got the same error.

same problem here wit Kodi in Raspberry2.

NFS is working, but not SMB

Just forget to activate the "Local Master Browser" in the SMB properties of my Sinology NAS ....

It's working good now !
