Hello all.

I have a bunch of TV show files with subtitles under the .SUB file type. They come with another file named the same but the file type is .IDX. All the files are named exactly the same as the video file. I have these in the same folder as where the videos are stored but they do not load. However the subtitles work fine when viewed on a PC.

Does anyone know why my subtitle files do not load in Kodi?

Thanks, I will keep an eye on that. Will I need to download something to fix it or alter a settings file, do you know?

I see. I am actually on Openelec, so I guess I will not be able to update it then? Not that I would really go for an unstable build anyway.

no, you'll have to wait for OE to pick up that patch.
