Hi all,

I'm having a playback issue with HD sound on all films with a HD soundtrack, TrueHD has a very bad stutter & DTS HD MA has a loud crackle/pop. The files are all 1080p MKV's coming from my NAS which is running Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS 12TB raid 5 via samba on a gigabit network. I know the file's are ok because all is faultless on my windows 7 machine running 14.2 helix. The machine I'm having trouble with is an AM1 athlon 5150 APU (Radion R3 Graphics) on an asus ITX board with 4 GB DDR3 1600mhz crucial memory (single channel & 1GB reserved for Graphics) and a Kingston 30Gb SSD outputting via HDMI out to my yamaha receiver.

All is fine if I switch the audio track to standard AC-3 or DTS

Does anyone know of a way to fix it?
Which receiver is it exactly?
Its a Yamaha RX-V467
Known. This kernel cant sync with refreshrate correctly. Installiert something newer than 3.16

Big GrinMany thanks once again
If there are still issues, we need a Debug Log.

All done went well (I think) no error messages then went to adjust settings as per other post but have another issue.

System -> Video -> Playback:
Adjust Refreshrate to match video: On
Sync Playback to Display: On
Sync Method: Video Clock (Resample Audio) -> This will automatically use Drop / Dupe for passthrough, so best out of both worlds.

for my hardware to give a HD bitstream out it must be set to 60HZ, if I select adjust refresh rate to match video I lose all HD sound

new debug log if it helps - http://xbmclogs.com/p9lfm9zns
Sync Playback to Display: On <- disable that one. And yeah if you cannot match Refreshrate, you need to disable Passthrough ... as that won't make any sense. With luck it works, but is not suggested. 23.976 fps won't sync correctly to 60 hz ... you will get audio issues every some seconds.

The 60 hz bug is a kernel bug -> bugs.freedesktop.org has already repoted it multiple times.
