Does anyone have ServerWMC PVR add-on working with the test build of the Nvidia Shield Android TV branch? It keeps telling me that a PVR add-on is not enabled even though I just enabled it. But then I go back and it is disabled. I am able to connect to the ServerWMC instance just fine with a Windows Kodi 15.0 client. I can get it to work in 14.2, but the guide takes 12 seconds to load up each time, along with the rest of the app being very sluggish.

i cant even get serverwmc working on my new shield which kodi version are you on and what add on version are you using

I'm running Windows 8.1 x64 with the latest ServerWMC server plugin. I've entered my admin window credentials in the ServerWMC app, and also added Everyone permission for the folder in both Sharing and Security for the Recorded TV folder share. It works in 14.2 installed on my Android Shield, but not with the test build specifically for the Shield which is Kodi 15. I tested Kodi 15 on a different Windows machine and it worked fine, as well. It really seems to be something unique to the Shield build, possibly with a misplaced dll file, as mentioned in the above posted log.

There probably isn't much we can do either, it would have to do with the kodi build. Have you looked to see if you can find 'pvr.wmc.so'?

I haven't. Do you know what folder under Kodi Android it would be in? I should be able to dig into this tonight.

I experience this on the shield both with the specialized build and the beta android build and nighties. The stable android release works for me though.

You can just use the 14.2 Helix ARM build off the downloads page. It'll work, but it won't have frame rate switching or HD Audio.

You can also install Kodi from the Play Store now, but that is the 15.2 version. That version should have frame rate switching and HD Audio.

How were you able to get wmc to work on the shield, if this is what your implying.

I have the same problem with Kodi 15 beta 2 on Shield. Can't enable the pvr wmc addon, it keeps disabling itself. 14.2 works fine though with serverwmc, have reverted back for the moment. I will probably give 15 beta 2 a try on my Nexus Player which is also Android TV, but on x86, to see if it works there.

Just tried it on the nexus player, same issue as with the shield, doesn't load
