I use comskip to detect commercials but it works really weird in Kodi. If I try to skip back it instead goes forward. I use comskip to detect commercials and create the edl file. I don't make any changes to the video file. Has anyone encountered this issue?
It turns out the issue is with edl. I changed it to txt and now it works but still not as good as it is in wmc. It seems to get disabled if I jump back or forth. Is there no way to skip commercials with a remote button?

I already solved the issue with edl by changing to txt.

OK, but changing the skip field to 3 fixes any problem you have with .edl.
I gave up on this. Sticking with wmc.
