I have the latest ver of Kodi (Ver 15.0) Chromecast and OS Yosemite 10.10.2
When I try to cast Kodi from my Macbook Air to my TV the picture is great but the audio does not come from the TV but continues to come from the Macbook Air.
I tried reinstalling Kodi but it made no difference.
I have Kodi on my Android Galaxy S5 and it works perfectly in the same location
Can someone help me with this please

How do you cast from osx to chromecast? Never thought this was possible. Is there a chromecast audio device you could select in settings->system->audio by any chance?
I use Google Chrome as my browser and it has Chromecast built in.
Chromecast doesn't have any selectable audio setting that I can find. onl choice is either on/off
Other than the audio problem I think its better than my Apple TV 2
No clue how to even help you ... i ignore chromecast normally because it failed its mission imo
The Chromecast is a wee bit better with the latest Firmware update in regards to 3:2 pulldown judder.

It seems on further investigation in the Chrome Browser, you can now Cast a whole OS X Desktop Screen to the Chromecast and this includes Kodi.
Yes confirmed Video only, Audio is still played out of my iMac.
No idea how to fix it. It is experimental after all.

I am happy that I now have an Extended OS X Desktop Display without buying an Apple TV, even if it is Video only at this stage. It is a bit pixilated for detailed work tho.

What you can do is drag video files into the OS X Chrome Browser and then cast them (Audio and Video) to the Chromecast.

There are Apps on Android such as BubbleUPnP UPnP/DLNA that likely can grab video files from Kodi's UPnP server running on Kodi OS X and then Cast them to the Chromecast:

I don't have an Android phone, but I suspect you can mirror the whole Galaxy S5 Screen to the Chromecast, regardless of the App running on the Phone.
This is also possible on certain Macs too where you can Airplay Mirror the whole screen to an Apple TV, regardless of what App is running at the time.

For audio I went to the "Audio MIDI Setup" app and turned down the volume on my mac and turned up the volume on the output source I made AirParrot cast.
