In Live TV how do I keep the top bar visible - the one that shows the channel and time?

I've disabled the 'Close channel OSD after switching channels' setting under 'Settings->Live TV->Menus/OSD' but that doesn't seem to do it.

The bar is visible when you press pause, info, or move the cursor.
It's not intended to be always shown.
