Since the update to kodi isengard I have a black sceen only on my iPad mini (2. gen., retina) while watching live tv. Sound is working. With kodi helix on the same iPad live tv worked like a charm, with exactly the same live tv settings. PVR addon is dvblink.

Has anybody the same problem?

However, the problem seems to occur only on the ipad mini. My iPhone 6 has no problem on live tv even on kodi isengard with exactly the same dvblink addon an live tv backend. It seems that iPhone and iPad mini do not use the same codec for live tv (which I can't imagine). Any idea how to resolve that? Thank you.

they do use the same codec/hw acceleration code. I have the same ipad mini retina and it works normally (tvheadend plugin here - but it shouldn't matter). Post a debug log (wiki)

I heard that a simple reboot of the iPad seemed to resolve iPad black screen.
