Hi,

I seem to be having issues with the latest release of the mythtv backend - the error message i'm getting is "MainServer: MainServer::HandleVersion - Client speaks protocol version 77 but we speak 87!" - I'm guessing they updated the API and this hasn't been propagated through to the mythtv client

If this is/is not the case, could I please get some help resolving this issue?

The Mythtv pvr addon has been updated to support Protocol 87, see

Depending on your mythtv configuration, you may still have problems if you are using DVB-S/S2 (satellite) see

I just upgraded to the latest plugin release as per that post, and get the following message:
MainServer: MainServer::HandleVersion - Client sent incorrect protocol token for protocol version. Refusing connection!

Any suggestions?

You need to provide a full kodi debug log

Also please confirm the mythtv backend version
It should be MythTV Version : v0.28-pre-3054-g2bedfc5 as a minimum


If it is not please update (there was a bug a few days ago in mythtv concerning protocol token)

Edit:
There was another update this morning (UK time) for Ubuntu (nothing to do with protocol token)
