I have serverWMC connected correctly on my media center pc. I have connected Kodi PC (not the same PC as media center pc), to the media center pc. It shows me guide and recorded tv, but will not play live or recorded tv. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Is there an error in the log file? Usually this might be because the folder permissions on the server are not set correctly.

I am new to Kodi, but had no issues watching live TV in same setup with Emby TV. I could watch live and recorded TV so I don't think it is a permission issue. I got away from Emby TV because you cannot easily change channels. Where is log file stored?

I think it is probably the recorded tv folder shared permissions too, Emby doesn't necessarily need these permissions to be set.

You can find the serverwmc log on the Debug tab. Make you sure you post the log after you try to play a live stream from your remote kodi. Also, put the log on pastebin.com and post a link to it here.

means that your external computer is not apple to access the recorded tv folder on your server computer. To get more info, the entire log would be helpful. If you decide to post the entire log, post it on pastebin.com and put a link to it here.

So it needs to use the recorded tv folder to stream to the client pc? I have already given "everyone" full permissions to this folder and still have the problem.

Suggestions?

I will post the log later. I do not have access right now.
