Just use the version check add-on. It should be enabled by default and will notify you when you first open Kodi if an update is available. If you you missed if there was a message when you opened Kodi, just close it and re-open the program (use the "quit" menu rather than just going to the home screen on the FTV).

It's already installed, and if there is a new version a message will pop up.

Found it , I clicked on ' check for updates ' it searched and then just defaulted to the option to search again so I presume there are no updates available yet , massive thanks again ?
