Can Kodi support a blue-ray disc play back... like arcsoft and powerdvd used to handle?

That is with the help of makemkv and on Linux. Does it work the same way on Windows? The OP's question is whether Kodi can play Blu-ray disk like ArcSoft and PowerDVD. You don't need to do anything extra to play Blu-ray disks on both of them. I'm just trying to point out that you can't pop in a Blu-ray disc and start playing it in Kodi. I haven't really tried this. So, you can correct me if I am wrong.

That said, I agree that this might not be what the OP really wants. It's a bit of a hack, and with this enabled you just get a list of titles on the Bluray from which to choose (with non-helpful names like title00, title102, etc). You will not get the nice fancy Blu-ray menu that you'd see if you put the disc in a Blu-ray player. And with disks that use that title obfuscation trick (where hundreds of titles have the same length but play the segments in different order), this method of playing Blu-rays in Kodi is useless.
