The latest stable version of serverwmc (1236) needs to manually installed, instead of relying on auto updates. You can get the install file from here:

I'm having trouble viewing the changeLog on the main page. I'm getting google drive 503 error... In fact I'm getting the error for the preview release and the old stable release as well. The new release works fine. anyone else having issues?
I fixed the link on the main page (thanks for that). That link error, and the other errors you describe, is why the new release (1236) requires a manual install. The google drive stuff I was using to distribute the software is now broken, scarecrow and I have moved everything to github.
Update on this issue: Scarecrow discovered that it is possible for the auto update to work from the old google drive setup, it's just a matter of repeatedly trying and getting lucky. So google has not turned off the serving completely (yet), about one out of four times the page request goes through.
So if you have success using the auto update to install version 1236, then there is no need to do the manual install.
