I have the following problem. I use WMC to record shows. I then use MCEBuddy and Comskip donator to strip commercials using the WTV Unprocessed profile. When I try to play back the show I get a Decoder unsupported error in WMC. However I can play back the same stripped show using Kodi and ServerWMC on my computer. However when I try to access the same show from Kodi/ServerWMC on my Fire TV the show won't play back. Nothing happens.

Why would Kodi work on my computer but not from my Fire TV.

You don't mention what file format mcebuddy is writing to, but whatever it is, it seems a strange choice if wmc won't play it. I assume it can be fixed with a codec pack - but have you tried asking the mcebuddy guys about this problem?

I assume the firetv can play the wtv files fine if they aren't the output of mcebuddy, right?. You might try changing whether hardware acceleration is enabled on the fire, try turning that off in the kodi settings and then playing the file again.
