I reset everything and installed Lubuntu 17.04 on my Kodi box. If I install kodi (17.1) from ubuntu official repository, bluray discs work fine but if I install kodi (17.1) from ppa, I got "bluray menu not supported" error. Why? Thanks in advance.

Yes, but the main point is the java menu support. Why is it present in repository version an not in ppa version?
im not sure pal i just know mine works playing the movies i skip the menus anyway but im sure a dev can tell us i'll ask.

Edit; sent a msg to a couple of helpful souls but cant be sure they'll know the answer im gona try the menus myself now.
I never tried any BR menu. Neither with Kodi from some Distro-repo nor from our ppa
I know (from some other threads) that some menus might work and some doesn't. As mostly BR menus are java-based (if not every), it might depend on different things.
A logfile might tell most why it's failing on the one version but working on the other
