Hello, my name is Alex and I'm from Germany. I'm new to the Kodi world so I had to and still have to learn a lot of things.

So far I really do like Kodi, but I want to get a Program Guide on Kodi 17.0 on my Windows 7. So I've installed the IPTV Simple Client to put a XMLTV URL (I've tried alot of different url's) in the EPG-Settings on the Addon. But everytime I restard Kodi and go to TV --> Guide (EPG) it only shows me a blank page. I've tried to find a solution through Google, YouTube, German Kodi Forums etc. but nobody has the same issue as mine. I've even tried the same thing on the "TV Guide" Addon at "Kodi Add-on repository", it just gives me an error. As I've mentioned, I tried a lot of different XML files that should work but for some reason they don't. I even tried to download it as a file (.ini file) and then put it to the EPG-Settings through my Local Drive, but it won't work either.
By the way I don't have a .m3u list at the moment, because I don't want to buy one yet if the EPG don't even work, it makes me warily about the whole thing. As I've said I'm really new to this and I really don't know what to do now.

I mean is there any other Addon for Kodi that just shows the shedules of (German) TV channels? That's the only thing I want. What am I doing wrong?

I didn't get an answer at a german kodi forum, so I'm trying it here. I'm sorry for my bad english.
I hope you guys can help me.
You can get almost whatever EPG you want by using Webgrabplus at http://www.webgrabplus.com/.

Thank you for you reply @kataiba. I've already used the EPG's at webgrabplus but it seems like they don't work, or I do something wrong. I just went to http://www.webgrabplus.com/epg-channels went to the section "Germany" and picked up the .xml files and typed the url on the EPG-Settings at IPTV Simple Client.. still getting a blank page whenever I go to "Guide" at Kodi. Tried the same thing with "TV Guide" there I'm just getting an error message that it can't load it.

I've literally spent the last 3 days looking to get my EPG work. I'm really losing it Undecided

EDIT:
Now I've put an .m3u list just to test it, and it works pretty fine.. but still don't have an EPG.
I've matched the xmltv_id and all nothing works Huh

BTW: This is the XMLTV URL I've used = http://www.webgrabplus.com/sites/default...annels.xml
(I've tried different lists from Webgrab+, keep getting a blank EPG on Kodi 17.0 on Windows and also the same on my iPhone)

I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what.
You are doing it the wrong way.
Go to downloads. http://www.webgrabplus.com/download . Get the windows version and also get the siteini pack from the same page. SiteIniPack_current.zip
After you install go to %LOCALAPPDATA%/Webgrab+Plus (mine is in C:\ProgramData\ServerCare\WebGrab) ProgramData is a hidden folder.
Copy all files that are in \siteini\siteini.pack\Germany to \ProgramData\ServerCare\WebGrab.
In \ProgramData\ServerCare\WebGrab you should have this file. WebGrab++.config.xml

yours should look like this...i'll make an example with 3 of your channels then you can work out the rest.

<settings>

<timespan>2</timespan>

<update></update>

<filename>C:\xmltv.xml</filename>

<channel update="i" site="klack.de" site_id="60/n24" xmltv_id="N24">N24</channel>
<channel update="i" site="klack.de" site_id="68/n-tv" xmltv_id="N-TV">n-tv</channel>
<channel update="i" site="klack.de" site_id="135/servus-tv" xmltv_id="Servus TV">SERVUS TV</channel>
</settings>

Then in Kodi you point Ort to local and XMLTVURL to that C:\xmltv.xml.

Read more here http://webgrabplus.com/documentation/ins...on/windows and especially here http://webgrabplus.com/documentation/con...tion/howto.

Good luck.

You don't have to do it everyday.

This line:
<timespan>2</timespan>

tells it for how many days to grab EPG. In this case is 3 days cause webgrab counts 0 1 2 as three days.
Maximum i think is 13 that will grab it for 14 days.
To be accurate use Windows Task Scheduler to grab every 2/3 days.

Happy it helped you.

i use to do the same but i found this page so i dont need to do any xmltv grabbing!

http://koditvepg.com/

That might work for your own channels @gzolee but not for everyone. You are just advertising your site here.
yes
Hello
How can i put greek epg? I din't understend very well!!
I use raspberry pi3 with kodi and iptv simple client!
WebGrab+Plus does the trick .......
It is the big player here to obtain any EPG for free.
I did it using a Raspberry Pi 3. I am surprised on how it worked fine.

Setup is tricky, not that intuitive.
We must read the docs with attention to understand how to install and configure it.
Thanks.
