The jailbreak/restore goes fine using Seas0nPass 0.9.8 on my Mac running Yosemite 10.10.4 (14E46) Itunes 12.5.5
I go thru the initial setup and i see the FC logo in the right corner and everything looks fine until
i go about installing kodi or nito; the install goes without any errors but they don't appear on the ATV2 menu!
i also noticed that I can't "killall AppleTV" When I ssh in via Terminal nothing works except for "reboot".
when atv2 reboots the FC logo disappears and the AppleTV logo shows up. (even if i unplug power cord)!
How do I fix it?

I'm stumped ! I don't know what to do next, man it sucks balls with no xbmc on!, the last couple of days were like "i don't know, lets just not go there", i mean i flip out for no reason and I don' know what that comes from!.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?

What is causing this?
ATV2 hasn't been supported for a long time, maybe that's your issue. If you're trying to install anything past Helix that could be your problem.Or maybe Apple changed something, that wouldn't be unusual.

I know it's been a long time, I restored it with the latest seasonpass successfully and then used the the directions from the wiki to install kodi, nothing else!

forgot to mention that i restored again and ran those commands, what i noticed now, "killall AppleTV" works but still no kodi, no movies, and no tvshows,
i only have;
internet-computers-settings on main menu.
I read some people having the same issue but they managed to solve by downgrading a package called "beigelist", i did but stil nothing! (frustrating!)

Yea, I didn`t have to, because that source (awkwardtv.list) is already included in the recent seasonpass jailbreak, you can read towards the ends...
Setting up org.xbmc.kodi-atv2 (14.2-0) ...
which means it installed without any errors, it also shows in the applications folder when i connect via sftp using Transmit (Kodi.frappliance), and here`s the "ls output" from Terminal when I ssh in;

I really don`t know what is going on, I`m starting to suspect there is something fishy!, no one is saying anything, why is that?
If you haven't already done so maybe try run the uninstall and remove settings and dependencies and then run commands from scratch in terminal again and see if it works. It won't hurt anything. That's about all I can help you with. If I can see something obvious I'll let you know. The only thing I had noticed was that all the commands were not completed as per the instructions. I sold my atv2 a while ago so I can't try it either.
I'm sure the devs are busy with a bunch of other things and as FXB78 said, atv2 support has been dead for over a year now

I understand and I appreciate you taking the time to help out so very much, thx man!, you wanna hear something crazy, I just did the whole thing from scratch and used nito installer this time on a windows 7 machine to no avail, i swear, it`s messing with my head now, oh God!!!
I`m suspecting the latest seasonpass jailbreak is not working properly with older firmwares, is there any other way to restore that doesn`t involve seasonpass, please let me know, i`m willing to try anything.

Call me crazy but I`m loving this, I swear, I learned a lot, I read a lot of posts, guides, tutorials, saw countless youtube videos, I mean a lot, I get headaches sometimes, my eyes hurt of too much exposure to monitor.
I hate to break it to you but Seasonpass is the culprit here, as it is there is no way to downgrade from 5.3, which i can upgrade to if i want by the way, but that`s not what I want, I love how fast and responsive 4.4.4 is compared to 5.3, Xbmc idles at 115~125 free memory using Quartz, i swear!, that`s the challenge!
I finally restored my 4.4.4 by downgrading itunes on a windows 7 machine...took me forever to figure it out.
Forgot to mention that i had to use snowbreeze....STAY AWAY from seasonpass if you want to restore 4.x firmware!!!
