When I select video or music from the main menu in Estouchy there appear icons at the bottom of the screen for switching from thumbnail to list view and for other settings. How can I access these buttons with a remote such as Kodi core or a keyboard?

you can't. estouchy is a skin designed to work with touchscreens. ;-)

That is a pity. Would it be possible to extend it?
With a mouse it is possible.
