RAW support was temporarily removed as there was some problems with it I think, it has now been reintroduced as a addon for v18.
As for a Picture Library, no one on the Team currently has any interest in doing this, so it would require someone from the community to step up and implement it.

You can use Kodi with some of the sharing solutions and get full picture library support. Here's a link to those I've tested.
