RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17.0) - fritsch - 2016-04-27

a) The bug is not a software bug as TV communicates via HDMI about lipsync offset and the linux drivers cannot read it -> so only "ugly" workarounds with settings are possible
b) No.

Me and Milhouse thought - that you would provide the dailys from now on - we were also curious that nothing appeared for now.

LOL! I am providing dailies. Just haven't told anyone where they are located Smile

More dailies more problems [2pac] Big Grin

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17.0) - kanyck - 2016-04-27

Switched to #0424 from the last #0415 OpenELEC build.
My aureal remote stopped worked normally: some buttons are dead, some became doubled (i.e. different keys now send the same code). INFO became COMPOSE and so on...
Before it workes flawlessly...

I agree. There is only one reason I asked and that is that the latest build didn't work and a new build has the fix in it. Except for that I am all good. But hey, I can always stop testing the dailies and just wait for the Kryton final build.

On n3150 i reverted back to 420 cause 423 and 424 freeze often on gui (kodi alive cause ssh query works)

I can't also be able to load edid at startup using libreelec

I will post a log asap (regarding screen freeze)

Hello,

I'm on OpenELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.0-Milhouse-20160416021844-#0415-g0026734

Can I update directly to latest LibreELEC build ?

@fritsch
Thanks for the quick reply.

a) does the lipsync issue exist for all frame rates when linux (ie: OE & LE) is involved ?

b) is there a thread you could direct me to, where the "ugly workarounds" are detailed (ie: techniques for tuning) ?

c) are you aware of any video test-files that can be used to determine the offset(s) needed for a users particular setup ?

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17.0) - fritsch - 2016-04-27

a) No as AVR / TV decides on how much it wants to postprocess depending on refreshrate time varies.
b) ugly workaround: advancedsettings.xml
c) Nope - if you find one, check them out. The 175 is an average we gathered some years ago and since that no complaints anymore :-)
