But now I must copy first the old *.dtb overlay files from #0313 because the overlay directory is now empty. I will try this in the evening. Well, I solved the issue with the overlays. "vcdbg log msg" give me a hint. 001702.665: dtparam: spi=on # SPI Modul für Ambilight 001705.361: dtdebug: Found override spi 001705.387: dtdebug: override spi: string target 'status' 001710.666: dtparam: audio=on # Audio Modul 001713.484: dtdebug: Found override audio 001713.511: dtdebug: override audio: string target 'status' My config.txt looks like this: dtparam=spi=on # SPI Modul für Ambilight dtparam=audio=on # Audio Modul Before #0314 this was working fine but now, the comment are a problem! I change the config.txt to: # SPI Modul für Ambilight dtparam=spi=on # Audio Modul dtparam=audio=on Now, it's working again. And yes, the kernel supports dtb and dtbo files. I try both methods with the #0331 and both are working fine. So, if somebody has trouble with overlays just have a look in the config.txt and check if there are any comments behind the parameters. Oh, how many hours did I spend to find out this :-) RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0) - kieranc - 2016-04-01 (2016-04-01, 10:59)Milhouse Wrote: Disabling pvr clients in Addons22.db/Addons23.db is probably the easiest/quickest solution:That got it, thanks! For now separate lines are recommended. Recorded TV played back just fine, which was odd. Rolling back to 0330 and liveTV does not show a blank screen. I'll look again tonight but was curious if anyone else saw that issue. I'm using the mythtv pvr plugin. For me 331 - with rpi2 and TVHeadend on separate Debian server - TV is working as good as ever! (Rapier skin, always having problems with TV on Estuary since 319 - perhaps before..) RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0) - herrmeier01 - 2016-04-01 On #0331 MPD deamon don't start. I think this is FFmnpeg 3.0.1 related. mpd: error while loading shared libraries: libavformat.so.56: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0) - niwa2 - 2016-04-01 I just updated from 0224 to 0331 because the confluence skin got messed up today (no transparencys are shown anymore, just black squares). The same ist still happenening with 0331. With the new Estuary skin the "Hide watched videos in recently added list" feature seems to be broken. Also I am hoping that the DVD playback gets fixed not too far in the future. The kids would like to watch some of their movies which unfortunately are DVDs. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0) - BigTastyBurger - 2016-04-01 Might I get some assistance with my dts audio drop-out issue? I'm still getting it on #0331 (RPi3), and it's only occurring on dts encoded software, DD is fine. It seems to happen after a quick burst of buffering, so could be a network issue, but would be happy to rule that out. I've uploaded a log here RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0) - J_E_F_F - 2016-04-02 I have started trying to use x265 HEVC files when available on my RPi2. Most play well with an occasional studder here and there during a panning scene, but not too bad. I understand that these are software decoded not hardware through the GPU. Looking at bcmstat.sh shows that the CPUs are not maxed out. I read things such as (HEVC low bit rate only for the Pi) but do not understand bit rates, so what is a low bit rate? Using MediaInfo on a few of my files, I can see things like: Overall bit rate : 628 Kbps Overall bit rate : 694 Kbps Overall bit rate : 862 Kbps How do those compare to high/med/low bit rate, and about what bit rate is the RPi2 good up to in 720p? RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0) - Loc2262 - 2016-04-02 Here's something I was meaning to report for quite a while. This is probably not the correct place for it, but maybe you can forward (if it's not an already known issue) to the proper developers. When playback continues after jumping/seeking in MPEG2 videos (codec info shows "mmal-mpeg2"), the screen turns "mostly grey" with numerous picture artifacts. The effect looks like the player does not properly look for the I-frame closest to the seek destination, but tries to apply whatever P/B-frames it finds to an "empty" picture. I think this started with the switch to VideoPlayer. This only happens with MPEG2, and only with VideoPlayer. OMXPlayer and/or other codecs don't have this issue. The first doesn't show any attempt to play a file. The second does. What confuses me is why you included the first log, does that also freeze? With the second log, has it frozen at the point you uploaded the log... maybe provide some explanation of what you are doing and what happens, and how this relates to the logs as it's not obvious what the problem is or when it occurs. I don't think it's supported by Estuary, this should actually be removed from newclock5 as it is a Confluence specific feature.
