RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - User 462508 - 2021-03-22 Hello, I have just move from TMM to MediaElch. I used TMM on my iMac to manage my movies and TV shows hosted on a NAS. I am a little bit lost with MediaElch. When I have sevral movies in the Movie folder of my NAS, it renames the movie as a multi file/part movie... It does not create new folder for the new movies. All my movies are in a dedicated folder (within /volumes/Movie folder/<movie title> (<year>)/ Could someone can explain me how to proceed ? Then, from my KODI (LiberElec on a Raspberry Pi), I only retrieve information from local and not internet. I saw that it is possible to synchronise MediaElch with Kodi directly, is there something specific to do ? What will be synchronised ? new movie will be added directly in the Kodi movie library ? ) Sorry If I ask noob question...I tried with the mediaelch documentation on the website but sill lost... Thank you RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - bugwelle - 2021-03-23 (2021-03-22, 16:37)TonyTruand92 Wrote: Hello, Hi there, :-) in MediaElch's settings, did you select "Sep. Folders" for your movie folder? It is a checkbox. Regarding Kodi Synchronisation: It was meant to synchronize the play-count. However, I've never tested that feature and didn't test it (was written by the original MediaElch author). I'm not sure if it even works anymore... RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - User 462508 - 2021-03-23 Yes, I selected "Sep. folders" with the checkbox. I have to first create a folder for the new movies...which is clearly not realy convenient...and not supposed to work like this. It does in fact still work (so please don't remove it). And it does in fact update Kodi with the new/updated movies and tv shows. But it is not a simple feature to get working properly. You need to turn on and set up the webserver in kodi , then tell mediaelch the ip address and name /password you are using to access the webserver on kodi. if you are telling kodi there are new or updated shows it will send a command to kodi to remove each of the new/updated shows from the library then tell kodi to run a scan for new content to add them to the library. If "Sep. Folders" is enabled, MediaElch expects that each movie is in its own folder. RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - Bungee_G - 2021-03-30 Hi @bugwelle , I just wnated to ask if you know when will this issue be fixed : https://github.com/Komet/MediaElch/issues/1243 Also, when will renaming of seasons be added ? Thanks RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - bugwelle - 2021-03-30 (2021-03-30, 20:39)Bungee_G Wrote: Hi @bugwelle , I just wnated to ask if you know when will this issue be fixed : https://github.com/Komet/MediaElch/issues/1243 Hi. Regarding the first issue: I can't say. I simply do not have time at the moment. :/ Season names were added recently. The latest Nightlies should already support that (though not supported by any of MediaElch's scrapers, yet). I plan to release a new version after Easter. No major changes, though. Regards, Andre RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - bugwelle - 2021-03-30 (2021-03-30, 21:04)bugwelle Wrote:(2021-03-30, 20:39)Bungee_G Wrote: Hi @bugwelle , I just wnated to ask if you know when will this issue be fixed : https://github.com/Komet/MediaElch/issues/1243 Hi had a quick look at Kodi's movie sets. If MediaElch wants to support it, a lot of work will be required (as far as I can see now). I don't have the time for that in the near future. :/ I can't even give an estimation. It already took me quite a few months to implement "multiple ratings" simply because I didn't find the time and there were other issues (i.e. bug reports / small changes) that I had to work on first. Also, do you know why is it not possible to scrape actors from IMDB ? Because IMDb has a lot of actors compared to TVDB and TMDB. And do you know if the Estuary skin of kodi supports multiple ratings ? Hi. Regarding IMDb: I didn't get to work on actors for IMDb, yet. It should work for movies, though. But not for TV shows, yet. Regarding Estuary: I haven't tested it, yet. But I think at least the rating that is marked "default" should be used. The "default" rating at the moment is the first rating listed in MediaElch. That reminds me: I have to support sorting ratings. That's not possible at the moment... RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - bugwelle - 2021-04-26 MediaElch v2.8.8 - Coridian The next stable version 2.8.8 is here! Blog Post: https://mediaelch.github.io/mediaelch-blog/posts/mediaelch-v2.8.8/ Documentation: https://mediaelch.github.io/mediaelch-doc/download.html What's new? I've fixed a few bugs, introduces new features and improved the GUI a bit. See the blog post above for all details. Where can I download MediaElch? Stable releases can be downloaded from https://mediaelch.github.io/mediaelch-doc/download.html We have a download-mirror on https://mediaelch-downloads.ameyering.de/releases/v2.8.8/ instead of bintray this time. The latter has shut down. The former is my own server. So please be patient if the server is not reachable. :-) For Linux distributions we provide repositories for Ubuntu (.deb) and openSUSE (.rpm). For Windows we also provide a Chocolatey package. The repositories will take a few days to get the latest version. Where can I get help? For general question use Kodi forums, e.g. - [English] https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=136333 (this thread) - [German] https://www.kodinerds.net/index.php/Thread/14560-MediaElch-MediaManager-for-Mac-Linux-Win/?pageNo=1 If you find a bug, please open an issue on https://github.com/Komet/MediaElch/issues Changelog Check out the full changelog at https://mediaelch.github.io/mediaelch-doc/release-notes.html RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - bugwelle - 2021-04-26 Hi, It was just reported to me that for some reason a terminal pops up on Windows. I'll look into it tomorrow. Edit::// Fixed RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - warchild13 - 2021-04-29 Great app. Niggling issue: I use 2.8.9 but since 2.9.7 I can't get MediaEich to remember the last used window size! I'm on Debian Buster.
