RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - Brian B - 2016-11-17 I just tried to update and got the message that I'm out of disk space (working from an old version of OE). LibreElec is installed directly onto an SSD in the HTPC. I did it years ago, but followed some instructions and don't remember what I did... I see all sorts of details on install onto a flash drive, but are there detailed instructions on how to re-install onto the HTPC over the network? (Using Windows 7 or Windows 10) Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! I d/l the Mini Partition Tool and ran it on my desktop PC. It only shows the HDs inside the PC. How do I select the HTPC drive over the network? Sorry for the dumb questions... Brian RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - Milhouse - 2016-11-18 (2016-11-18, 00:16)Brian B Wrote: How do I select the HTPC drive over the network? I doubt you can (unless using something like iscsi) as you need to directly connect the drive to the host in order to access the partitions tables, which isn't usually accessible when mounting disks over a network. As per the note in the first post you can try booting the HTPC with a LiveCD/LiveUSB (eg. SystemRescueCD) and then use gparted to resize the partitions - it only takes a few minutes. Alternatively, backup your existing data using the LibreELEC Settings "backup" option, install LibreELEC from an official disk image (this will create a 512MB FAT partition while also wiping all your data), then restore your data. You should then be able to upgrade to one of these test builds. Edit: Or remove the drive from the HTPC and connect it to your PC that is running Mini Partition Tool. Personally, I'd take the LiveCD/LiveUSB approach. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - illiac4 - 2016-11-19 In latest releases Dim is not working under screensaver. Not seeing a problem here (Skylake NUC), when did this problem start? Can you post a debug log when the screensaver starts (or try the "Preview" button). Tnx for feedback. I have tried to unplug now all devices and saw that actually Bluetooth usb module is preventing the system to dim display. So it is not a big deal. With @Irusak testbuild (Chromium 55) everything basically works (especially Amazon Video), but on my AMD-System (HD 6670) there is sometimes heavy tearing and stuttering and on my BayTrial NUC the perfomance seems not be be powerfully enough(?), cause there is quiet more stuttering and it isnt really possible to watch a Amazon Video... With old versions of chromium (53..) Amazon Videos break completely cause of this ----> https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=664177 (like somebody mentioned in german Kodi forum). With new versions of chromium it will not be possible anymore to get hw acceleration like somebody mentioned in german kodinerds forum?! ---> https://www.widevine.com/product_news.html (only SW_SECURE_DECODE (L3) ) LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - lrusak - 2016-11-19 (2016-11-19, 10:43)debutanker Wrote:(2016-11-06, 22:43)Milhouse Wrote: We still have problems building Chromium. The struggle is real. I'm using some patches that are maintained by people using vaapi with chromium, however, these patches are in no way official. So I can't guarantee that it will work properly. You could possibly try running chromium with the --no-sandbox option to see if that helps (edit default.py or chromium files). Otherwise maybe post a crash log/stack trace of chromium here, https://github.com/saiarcot895/chromium-ubuntu-build/issues/2 RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - debutanker - 2016-11-19 Thx @Irusak - i will check that out! Keep up the fight..... I've got a ticket with a debug log here: http://trac.kodi.tv/ticket/16912 RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - artur9 - 2016-11-19 I sometimes see a problem where I hit stop and the video stops immediately but the sound continues for a second or two. I haven't checked the 1117 but it was there in 1107 then went away and was back in 1116. I will check the latest and try to get a debug log. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - debutanker - 2016-11-19 Tested with --no-sandbox option - no success. But after disabling "hardware accelerated video decode" in chrome://flags tearing on my amd-system is gone.... |
