Thank you nickr for your very prompt reply.its hard to believe you finally got to see a log all be it the wrong one.does everything else seem ok.i now know why you cant find any info about installing a repo its because i was trying to install one that you dont approve of and so after finding that out i deleted all.i am so sorry for what seems like a total waste of your time.many thanks for all your help and patience.i have installed what i fancied from kodi repo but there are a few add-ons that wont open.i will send you a file and hopefully some img urls.can you at this point recommend a good sports add-on that is legal in your eyes,that will get me sky sports etc.

There are no legal ways to get sky sports on Kodi.

hi all.really disappointed to learn that news.the thing is i have installed sportstube from your own repo in the hope i could stream sports like premiership & la liga but it wont open at all from videos>add-ons. http://i.imgur.com/3ayhDZI.jpg i have also tried to open the "Irish TV" add-on and i get this message

EDIT: i am NOT including the log in order to find a streaming service but hoping you find a reason as to why those add-ons will not operate.having said all that some info for my problem would be greatly appreciated.

Very often addon developers are playing whack a mole on ever changing websites. That addon seems to have last been updated 4 months ago.
Also please do remember that if you are looking for an addon that gives you something for free, that you normally have to pay for, it is probably illegal piracy and unsupported.
Obviously for sportube to have made it into the official addon list means that it is a legal service to access for free, or provides a login service for subscribers to sportube. As the sportube website is in ?Italian? (or is it Spanish?) I can't understand what it is all about, or whether you have to subscribe.
It may also be geoblocked, ie accessible only from some countries.

nickr thanks very much for information and help.i visited the website but it looked way too complicated for my lack of knowledge so i am back where i started.i am curious though as to how i would find out if it is geoblocked or not.just a thought.many thanks again to you and all who assisted me throughout the duration of this thread it is all gratefully appreciated.
