I am also encountering the same problem here as well using svn31359.
Tv Shows load fine, however movies loaded out of the Movie libaray will just sit and hang. I am also running Windows 7 x64

Have to see if I can figure out how to log as well.
Same issue: 'Working ....' for minutes when attempting to play some files. Only from the library. Files play if browsed to.
Have to shut down XBMC from the Task Manager. Kept me up 'til 2 a.m. thinking something was wrong with my network.

I haven't been experiencing this issue after I cleaned out my movie library of all nfos and had it rescanned.

I have deleted and rescanned my movie library, to no avail. as above my tv show library is working fine, movies also fine in files mode. thanks,

The only difference i can see is that the busy dialog shows up at a different point in the log. I suspect some timeing issue is at play here, and something with the busy dialog is blocking playback to start.
