I gave it another try recently and added an advancedsettings.xml with settings for tuxbox and it works now. I was surprised that it still worked after I renamed advancedsettings.xml to advancedsettings.xmll
So all I know is that it works but don't know why it didn't work before....
I did however load a new version recently..... (svn 21829)
Well, now I can watch my dreambox using the latest version (also enigma-1).

i belivie the reason why it worked even after you renamed "advancedssettings xml." depends on its not nedded at all.

anyone have the enigma 2 plugin working with xbmc linux?
and was the tuxbox client removed from xbmc? I've being away from xbmc for a few years but i remember it was built in to xbmc at one stage, but no sign of that in the linux and windows versions.

I've problems with tuxclient on linux (on xbox works great), when i choose a channel i can only hear some sound (they're more glitches, like a corrupted mp3), here's the log.
I'm using gentoo x86_64 with build 23253 (i tried several versions but i always get this issue).

Stupid me never spotted tuxbox client option in network locations. Anyone know if its possible to speed up channel changes? so its more instant like vlc? I'm using xbmc linux. And also if it's possible to have channel icons?

I didn't know there was a channel change function - I always stop and go back to the boquet. Is there a better way?

Hi all,
forgive me for my poor english....
I used this client and all works after I shared new resource:
tuxbox://USER
ASSWORD@MYTUXBOX_IPORT/... Very impressive!
But I got a problem: when I change programs from XBMC often the streaming stop and my client became unavailable, wathcing on my decoder I relalize that my decoder is blocked.... After 2 minutes my decoder starts again to work meanwhile XBMC keeps being unavailable....
I'm using InetBox 300s and XBMC (9.11 Beta1)
Any suggestion?

After reading the tuxbox part in the wiki and this thread, one question for me is open
where I configure this share in the dreambox:

ASSWORD@MYTUXBOX_IPORTThe usermanual of the dreambox is not very helpfull.
I am on the way to change from analog-TV (USB-PVR and tv-viewer) to digital-TV (cable).
But before I buy all this stuff, I would know how to configure it.

When i click the folder i get an empty list.
What did i wrong?
I have a DM800 with gemini 4.5, enigma2.
XBMC version is 9.11 running on windows vista
Streaming to a windows client (Dreamstream) works.
Do i have to install a plugin/script?

Afaik you dont have to install any plugin or script.
Im having trouble aswell on my DM800 with PP image.
It lists channels, but i cant start the streams.

Hm, i don't know why but sometimes it works now. But mostly not.
If i restart xbmc i can stream one channel. As soon as i want to change it, nothing happens.
