Dolby ATMOS & DTS:X BD's Tested on Capable Systems - drewjbx - 2016-09-17 I remember my first Dolby digital 5.1 system... Then I upgraded to a Denon 3808CI... Not atmos capable. Is atmos worth the upgrade ... Hear the difference from trueHD /DTS HD. Can it be justified to the wife is what I'm asking 😀 Sent from my iPhone RE: Dolby ATMOS & DTS:X BD's Tested on Capable Systems - hdmkv - 2016-09-18 Yes, it's worth it . The issue is lack of enough native ATMOS/X BD's. I prefer ATMOS to X so far. In any case, you can upscale those legacy formats. There, I prefer DTS Neural X (over Dolby DSU). Though DSU is no slouch, especially for TrueHD, DD+ and regular DD5.1 titles.
