Folks.

Long-time lurker of this thread and I had two questions I was hoping you could answer:

a) Does this work on Frodo - Linux x64?

b) If this is working will it enable me to watch the full CBC National newscast in HD?

Thanks all - Leafs Suck!

thethirdnut:

a) Most likely yes using the latest version by mariusmuja:
https://github.com/marius-muja/plugin.video.canada.on.demand/archive/master.zip

b) It will let you watch the full CBC National news but not in HD. CBC doesn't post it on their website in HD. It will be the same quality as if you went to cbc.ca/video in your browser and watched the latest broadcast of the national.

I found the cause of my problem. I was using unblock-us so I could access the UK version of BBC IPlayer as well as a host of US tv shows. Turns out that if turn of the dns server for that canadaondemand works perfectly. Now I just need to figure out a simple way of turning that on and off for raspbmc.

unblock-us has a dropdown to set the country on their 'How to Setup' page, just switch it to and from Canada and UK when you want to change what content you're watching.

I was able to resolve the issue.

CityTV is not listed anymore when loading all channels for the add-on. Any reason?

CityTV hasn't worked for a long time

CityTV obviously doesn't want ratings, they're just screwing themselves. Cool

CTV National and Local News now seem to return empty folders. Guessing their websites have changed?

Yes, there was a small change on the website. It should be fixed now in the github repository, also bumped the version to 0.7.8.

Forgive my ignorance so if this can already be done, I'm sorry. I'm a fan of this plugin and I appreciate it still getting some love from a new dev, but installing new versions from zip is a hastle. Is there any way that I can have it selfupdate when you update the repository? Am I just not doing it the right way?

Yes, it's possible to have a self-update version. I was just very busy lately and didn't have time for it. It's coming soon.

Super, in the meanwhile... How do I get the latest zip? (Really, it's a hastle that this isn't your thread now that you do the work. They should lock this thread and let you make a new thread about it so that you can modify the first post with all necessary information.)

Get the latest zip from this link: https://github.com/marius-muja/plugin.video.canada.on.demand/archive/master.zip

I've scanned the thread but I didn't find an answer to my issue. I apologize if this has been answered already, and I appreciate your help!

I've installed the latest zip (per post #599) and I'm having an issue where I get audio, but no video. I'm trying to watch the live streaming Leafs at NY Rangers game on CBC>>CBC Sports>>Live Streaming>>Live Stream: Hockey Night in Canada.

Here's my log. http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=30553 The last thing I tried doing was playing the live game, and I got only audio.

Thanks in advance!
