RE: Windows 3D MVC Bluray test builds - nklerk - 2016-04-01

I have installed the april-1 version (v2 Post: #927 21:44)

And I have recorded the phenomenon: visible at https://youtu.be/X18gc3qdXgk
In clip its especially visible on the subtitles.
the subs are not part of the video stream but a seperate PGS stream within the MKV container (might be relevant as i don't think the PGS subs are hardware decoded -theory of a noob- and while having the same issue its probably not hardware related.)

Debug Log? this looks like an issue with Kodi player not a decoder, mvc decoder doesn't decode PGS subtitles.

Hardware: Windows 10 64bit, Intel NUC D54250WYK (i5-4250U), Intel HD Graphics 5000 (Version 20.19.15.4331), Driver Model: WDDM 2.0
Debug Log: http://pastebin.com/Uughq2wY
Description: Video problems while playing back MKV files.
How to reproduce: Playing back a MKV video file.
Build: Using the newest build (20160401) and tested previously a little yesterday on the older build (20160325) with the issue present.
New changes: I bought a new TV (LG 65UH8500) to replace my old TV that was ungracefully retired (it fell). Moving from an active 3D to a passive 3D could be the reason I'm seeing the change. Because of that, I uninstalled everything Kodi and reinstalled a brand new version.

Initial Issue: When playing a 3D MVC MKV, initially I could not get the display to switch to 3D, but changing things around and installing different drivers, and finally it's switching to 3D when a video is being played. I am not currently using the advancedsettings.xml with settings posted in the first post.

Current Issue: Images look like they're 'ghosting.' It's very obvious on subtitles (or in the case of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug at the beginning where they have a 'subtitle' that shows they're in Bree - outside the Shire). It's also very noticeable on bright backgrounds (or lights in the background). It seems like the images just aren't lining up right. If I play this in my Blu-Ray player with the actual discs I don't have this issue and everything looks great.

Future plan: I'm copying over an ISO right now to my server to test, and I'll post in a few minutes how that turns out.

Same issue with the ISO, but it also looks like there's an area across the screen with banding/sync issues. Here's the log for that too:

That was the first thing I tried before I posted, and tested a lot of the different settings. Here's the settings I've most recently been using, but I've tried basically all combinations while sitting there for about 2 hours:

Video -> Color Enhancement:
-Standard Color Correction = Application Settings
-Input Range = Application Settings
-Total Color Correction = Disabled

Video -> Image Enhancement:
-Sharpness = Application Settings
-Skin Ton Enhancement = Disabled
-Noise Reduction = Application Settings
-Contrast Enhancement = Disabled
-Film Mode Detection = Disabled

Video -> Image Scaling
-Image Scaling = Disabled

Video -> Gamut Mapping
-Gamut Compression = Disabled

3D
-Application Optimal Mode = Disabled
-Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing = Turn off
-Conservative Morphological Anti-Aliasing = Turn Off
General Settings = Custom Settings (Anisotropic Filtering = Application Settings and Vertical Sync = Application Settings)

Display -> General Settings
-Resolution = 1920 x 1080
-Refresh Rate = 60p Hz
-Rotation = 0
-Scaling = Maintain Aspect Ratio
-Picture Aspect Ratio = 16:9
-Quantization Range = Full Range
-IT Content = Disable

Display -> Color Settings
YCbCr = Enabled

Just to add, when I play a non-3D movie I get green bars on the side on the screen.

Did you tried the divers I suggested only upgrade the video you can leave the display audio driver.

I'm testing those now. They seem to have fixed the green bars on the side, but do nothing to fix the 3D.
