Running XBMC-live 10.1, which is fully updated, on my acer R3610 ION.
Is it supposed to take like 20 sec to find the available subtitles and then take another 10 seconds to download the subtitles?
I know that the ATOM cpu isn't that fast but if i monitor the cpu used its running under 20% all the time when searching for subtitles.
My standard PC using windows finds the subtitles within 2 seconds and last week I helped a friend to install xbmc on his R3610 ION and it found the subtitles within 3-4 seconds.
Today i reinstalled xbmc-live, updated it and found out the finding subtitles still took around 20 seconds (with the "Connecting" message). The location of the movie file didn't matter either. And this was no extra things installed.
XBMC subtitles are configured pretty much standard and nothing in the "Advanced Options" has changed.

I tried today to download several subtitles from subscene.com, but it keeps saying downloading and nothing happens. Using latest nightly build. Is there a problem with the site at the moment?

its more to do with the speed of xbmc on your particular machine, it takes few seconds to open on atv2 but not 20.
try disabling "hash search" in XBMC Subtitles settings and see if that speeds it up. remember that you will not find any "sync" subtitles in that case

Found out it was a dns issue from my ISP. Changing it to opendns fixed it

My xbmc is marking the addon as "broken", I had to install it from a zip file, so, I have only this old version I thought I can update from within the configuration menu, but it is not giving me the option, it is dim. Where can I find the latest zip file for the subtitle addon?
