Windows at lower resolution than XBMC? - mrdos - 2011-04-25

Is it possible to run Windows at a lower resolution than XBMC?
I have trouble doing anything in windows unless I am about 2 feet in front of the screen.Laugh

Have you looked into changing the DPI?

You can simply set the screen res in XBMC to whatever you want, and when you run it it will change the res...

I have my windows desktop at a lower res, then when XBMC starts up, it changes to 1080p

If you're using WIndows 7, you can set it to scale everything up 25 or 50% larger, for use on screens where things appear too small. I think Vista may do this too but I never used Vista.

Yeah, I already scaled it to 50% larger but my tv is a 34" so I still have to squint like crazy to see from across the room.
If XBMC changes the resolution when you open it then that will solve my problem.
I'll give it a try.
