I'm going to give it a shot on the ATV2. I noticed a HUGE improvement on his system. <useddsfanart> This settings allows XBMC to use your GPU rendering fanart and some other images. This will make loading images considerably faster, especially on systems with slower processors (e.g. atom based systems). To enable dds fanart in xbmc, add the following to your advancedsettings.xml: <advancedsettings> <useddsfanart>true</useddsfanart> </advancedsettings> - ady199 - 2011-08-30 MaRINoL Wrote:I enabled the dds setting in the advancedsettings.xml file when I setup my brother's Aspire Revo. Then go for it! i think everyone with an atv2 should try it. I'm only not really sure if it's supported on atv - ady199 - 2011-08-30 Please read:- http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=106086 - butchabay - 2011-08-30 ady199 Wrote:Please read:- You may try the fanart/thumb size solution in advanced settings? Or just wait what if you switch to confluence? Is there a slowdown visible? I want to try something and then send you the coverflow view and test it on 2.05. I presume it's not fanart causing the slowdown but the thumbs. - ady199 - 2011-08-30 butchabay Wrote:You may try the fanart/thumb size solution in advanced settings? I'm happy to wait........ - butchabay - 2011-08-30 Just replace: ViewsVideoCoverflow.xml don't forget to backup your file first. let me know ... - ady199 - 2011-08-30 butchabay Wrote:Just replace: ViewsVideoCoverflow.xml Will give it a go tomorrow now. Thanks in advance - MaRINoL - 2011-08-31 butchabay Wrote:Just replace: ViewsVideoCoverflow.xml FYI, I'm experiencing slowness with fanart using rightlist view as well... - ady199 - 2011-08-31 MaRINoL Wrote:FYI, I'm experiencing slowness with fanart using rightlist view as well... Have you tried the new ViewsVideoCoverflow.xml file yet? if so, has it resolved the issue?? - gecko666 - 2011-08-31 Great release!!! butcha: just wanted to report that the trailer flag is still off for me, what I did to fix it was to edit "posy" from 54 to 49 for every TrailerOverlay.png in ViewsVideoFanart.xml. My screen resolution is btw 1920x1200, again not complaining or anything as the fix is easy, just reporting. I however am having another problem. When I go to a TV show and look at the info, there used to be a button to get the logos and cleararts, which is now gone and not sure how to get that back. - el_Paraguayo - 2011-08-31 Butcha, I've finished updating the random movie script for pre-Eden (tested on the nightly release running on my laptop). I've pm'ed you the link, can you test to see if it works for you. If so, we can update the links at the start of this thread. el_P - htpc guy - 2011-08-31 Looks great so far. I've tested the Dharma and Pre Eden versions and they are both great. Question... I can't add a favorite in pre 11. I assume this is because I'm missing the file script.favorites. Where can I find the pre11 version? - butchabay - 2011-08-31 gecko666 Wrote:Great release!!! Don't really know about the trailer position, i had the same when i've connected a notebook to my tv, but not with my htpc. I think there have to be something with the resolution. Get Logo button is working for me. You're using a nightly build? If so you'll need the script logo downloader. The easiest way is to download skin simplicity from the official repo. The import of scripts only works via repo and cirrus extended v2 (2.05) isn't yet in the repo. - butchabay - 2011-08-31 el_Paraguayo Wrote:Butcha, Thanx mate, i'm going to test it htpc guy Wrote:Looks great so far. I've tested the Dharma and Pre Eden versions and they are both great. If you have setup nightly build from scratch you'll need to install another skin. I suggest you download simplicity from official repo and try again. As mentioned a few posts above, cirrus extended can't import the required scripts with a manual download, so the easiest way is to download a skin that supports most recent scripts via repo. |
