on my HTPC the 2.05 Version is much faster on preEden than 2.04 on Dharma. But i dont know how much this is Skin or XBMC affected.

Did u find some over all Problems or are they only on ATV2 ?

When I'll have time and energy I will push an update, because some views/items/dialogs aren't themed. I just have to dive into code to identify which files I must work on

You may find energy for sure Smile

By the way here a little how to create themes, so you don't need to overwrite default png.s

That's why i don't understand some real massive slowdowns:

See here:

butchabay Wrote:OK, what happens if you disable fanarts? If it's still there, then it can't be a fanart problem.
What about coverflow view i've posted?

The slowness involves only loading the fanart. I am able to scroll through the list without issue. It takes up to 15 seconds for the art to load, however. This is true for my favorite view, "list," as well.

I'll be happy to post a short vid so you are able to see the delay if you like.

I have also replaced the ViewsVideoCoverflow.xml within the Cirrus 720p folder & restarted XBMC. I do not notice any improvement in the coverflow view in my case with regards to the speed at which the fanart is displayed.

You don't answer my question Smile with fanart disabled it's scrolling smoother or not? If not it's not the fanart causing the problem. Take the last coverflow file i've posted and try it please. I need more inputs, else i'll never going to fix this problem.
Thanx

I thought I had. I apologize for the misunderstanding. I have absolutely ZERO problem scrolling through the list-posters are displayed quickly and almost immediately. The fanart takes ages to load however. I traditionally use list view. Within list view at this time, along with any of the other views, posters and scrolling is relatively smooth. I do need to pause on a given title for up to 15 seconds before the fanart is displayed. This was not the case with 2.04 or with the Cirrus mod, Sinus, which I also have installed-simply b/c once I switched to pre-Eden, 2.04 froze on me constantly whereas Sinus did not.

EDIT: Backgrounds/fanart on the home screen load immediately when switching categories, BTW.

I don't think you understand what i'm trying to ask.

- Go to a specific view
- Press left or up (slideout media menu)
- Check button (Hide Fanart)

This skin has nothing to do with sinus, as in cev2 are a bunch of visible conditions.

I have not misunderstood. I can scroll through the list fine with "hide fanart" enabled or disabled. With fanart enabled, it takes a considerable amount of time for the fanart to load.

EDIT: PM sent with sample video.

Haven't received any video Smile

If you please could try the coverflow view i've sent to ady?
That would be great.

Please remove the old one first, do not just replace.

Hey butch,

I know your busy, but Ive encountered a strange issue with "Free Cable" plugin?

I prodominantly use the fanrt view for my tv and movies. However, all my other plugins and view defaults to "list"

I've just entered the "FreeCable" plugin, selected "all shows" and for some reason it displays all shows in fanart view? Now it previously displayed in "List" view and even when I try to change the view manually, list is not available for me to select?

If I then change the view to "right list" it actually changes my actual TV Shows local library to right list view as well?

This may not seem like a proble , but when using the plugin, and it defaults to fanart view, as I don't have the posters or fanart for those shows or logos etc, I am greeted with a black screen, followed by a list of blank shows, with no titles and no posters and no description? The only way to figure out what tv show is available, is to select each one manually, enter it and then go from there... The Funny thing is, when I select a tv show... Guess what happens?.. Yup... It goes back to list view? Huh

Now is this a skin Issue, or a plugin issue as they have both been updated in the last 24hrs and I'm not sure where or with what, the fault lyes..

I'll post a screen shot so you understand a bit more visually what it is I am experiencing.

As I said, I know you busy with other things, so this is not a big deal, just a bug report to find out if this is plugin or skin related ...

Cheers bro,

Pat~

Basically its impossible to change the view from "Fanart" to "List" in that 1 section of the Free Cable Plugin, even though all other sections default to "List" is this skin related or perhaps an issue of the latest update to the plugin?

Yo mate, i assume you're still on dharma ?
How you're accessing the plugin ? Through videos, submenu plugins ?
When you're in, press left and see if you are in library mode, if yes you should disable library mode button. It depends how you're accessing to the plugin.

- Try Video -- Submenu -- Plugins
- Try Video (enter) and then Plugins

If i remember right this was reported time ago. It's not skin related. In PreEden it's different. There is no library mode to choose, you have library or files.

- PatrickBateman - 2011-08-31

Your absolutely right bro Nod

I tried accessing it a different way and "bam" there's my list view back... Huh

Oh well, thanks for that dude, much appreciated.

Ps.
Yea I'm still dharma, not ready to move to Eden, i can't be bothered re doing my library etc... Unless there is a serious reason to go to Eden right now (anyone?) I'll happily stay with dharma as it's working well for me on my little revo Big Grin
