[MOD] Horizontal Confluence Modded - mad-max - 2011-06-06 16:19
After seeing the new Confluence I decided to learn a bit skinning and adjust Confluence to my needs...
So I started with some simple mods. I'd like to go ahead with this skin, but maybe someone is already intrested.
You can download it via the Eden repo from xbmcnerds.com:
I have a thread for screenshots over at xbmcnerds.com:
But here a sneak preview:
Feedback is always welcomed...
Maybe someone wants to buy me a beer

Good luck bro,
take confluence as base to learn is a good idea ... looking forward to see your work!

thanks for the nice words...
maybe I will ask you some questions if I have problems

Couple off issues.
Like I said in the trac ticket the addon icons go over the menu when you have it that low
And the new sub menu have no end caps on them like the other ones do

thanks for the hints...
1) will take care of this soon...as i do not use the plugins, i do not had this problem...
2) also will take care of it...
as is said in the first post: first try in skinning, so please be patient

Fixe for the next update...

To keep you a little bit updated here I stat the changes so far:
Fixed the end-caps in the movie and tv-show submenus
Fixed the problem with the lower menu and the addon-icons (icons now are only shown with upper menu)
Ability to hide the dark floor.png in main-menu, to have a better view on the backdrops
added a button on the home-screen for ronie's "script.globalsearch"
Screenshots will follow soon and new update will follow after fixing a severe problem with the submenus in upper menu...

I like it a lot! the lower bar is fantastic, I miss the addon shortcuts though. Any chance to add PVR support?

It's on the To-Do list, but I can not set a time frame when this or that feature will be implemented...
But nice to hear, that you like it...

The skin looks great but... I can't use it. When I installed it from the 'nerds repo, XBMC didn't ask me if I wanted to switch to the newly installed skin. I tried to select it in Appearance but the original Confluence loads instead. What am I doing wrong?
I'm using this XBMC build

glad that you like it...
why you can't install? no clue...will have to take a look into it...
but maybe I have the one or other hint:
what about downloading the skin from here: http://code.google.com/p/repository-xbmcnerds/source/browse/branches/eden-pre/skin.moddedconfluence/skin.moddedconfluence-0.5.zip
and then install via zip?
what about extracting the zip and copying it to the addons-folder?
Are you able to select the skin from "appearance"?
