[MAC] Harmony remote - please help - Chris! - 2011-06-07
Hi,
As the harmony is popular around XBMC i thought it a good idea to ask for help around here.
I'm having trouble getting the remote (harmony 300) to work at all.
I recall a thread mentioning that "Plex plexapp" preset was borked so I followed advice setting up as MCE remote.
Where left press on the remote = leftkey press
Ok on the remote = select
Could someone check I have done the correct steps
Mac side
Disable ir remote control receiver is not checked and the computer isn't paired to a remote
XBMC side
Input devices:
Apple remote: Multi remote (harmony)
And remote control send keyboard presses
All other boxes aren't ticked.
Have I done anything wrong?
I'm really frustrated and would appreciate any suggestions for example is there anything I can do to check it is working on the computer and prob is with XBMC (unlikely)

Ok, adding AppleTV as device gets it to work in a limited way.
What device should I set up to get the best control of XBMC?

Turns out meant to add PLex manufacturer and Plex Player as the model
not Plex and Plexapp

PLEX PLAYER in the harmony software works just fine and give you lots of controls

I tried following that guide (i just misread plex player for plex app). Though it is quite outdated (in xbmc version - no need for any installs and the harmony app is online now not downloaded)
But thanks guys I have it working fine now.
